Happy first day of Autumn!
How exciting is that? I can’t wait to see the leaves change their colour and decorate the pavements. Walking on crispy leaves is so satisfying. Not so much on wet leaves, because if you’re as clumsy as me (and I trip on straight flat surfaces), this is just an accident waiting to happen. I don’t want to think about it yet. What I want to think and talk about is the makeup look I like to go for in Autumn. Autumnal makeup look, if you’d like. I think I’ve never heard the word ‘autumnal’ as much as in this September alone.
This look is quick and easy, perfect if you’re in a hurry or decided to be spontaneous and go out to Tescos with full makeup on. I went for the latter, because, hey, no one can stop me. I’m so Autumnal.
As always my base includes Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation and concealer in Light Porcelain. I use a Real Techniques beauty blender to blend them in nicely. My skin hasn’t been very happy recently and started breaking out quite a lot, so at the moment I use as much concealer as foundation. If it carries on, I might have to stock up on my concealers. I set everything in place using Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Transparent. I fill in my eyebrows using Models Own Now Brow! brow powder in Dark Brown. To read how I do that click here. I use a little bit of Revolution Ultra Bronze bronzer to contour my cheekbones, nose and forehead, but not too much. Looking like I’ve just come from holiday is not exactly my aim, but I also don’t want to be super pale. I blended it in with my big powder brush.
For the eyes, I don’t use a lot of eyeshadow. I just put a little bit of from Zoeva Naturally Yours palette. At the moment, I’m loving using an eyeliner. Autumn means no more hayfever and no more watery eyes! So finally, I don’t wash my cat eyes off with uncontrollable tears. I’ve got two eyeliners I’m using at the moment – Maybelline masterGRAPHIC liquid marker and Astor Stimulong liquid eyeliner. First I use the marker to draw the initial line and the flick as I find it a lot easier. I just stamp it at the side of my eye as the marker is the perfect length for a good-sizedΒ flick. To make sure both of my eyes are even (more or less) I align the end of the marker with the direction of my waterline and stamp it where my water line would have continued (if it makes sense). Unfortunately, it is not the best eyeliner and it tends to create a very uneven line. Which is where the Astor eyeliner comes in. Thanks to its thin end I can create a nice finish to my cat eye look and make it even. For my lashes I use Rimmel Day 2 Night mascara in 001 Black.
I’m loving berry and red lips. I think they look a bit too heavy to wear during summertime, but they are just perfect for the colder months! For this look, I used Golden Rose lip pencil in shade 510.Β I also purchased another Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip in Plum This Show which is a perfect shade. More on Rimmel Liquid Lips here (spoiler: they are so worth the money).
But that’s it! Normally it would take me ages to create a nice cat eye look, but using this pen makes things so much easier. This makeup looks like you’ve put a lot of effort into it when you actually spent around 10 minutes. It actually took me longer to do my hair than my makeup today and it doesn’t normally happen.
Let’s make this Autumn amazing!
Until next time xx

Thank you!
This is gorgeous! Especially love that lip! My go-to is a berry lip with a brown/bronze eye x
I love a bit of a bronze eyeshadow as well! Wishing I’ll get Naked Heat palette for my birthday so I can be very autumnal! π
The Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer is one of my favourites! Unfortunately I didn’t find a good shade from the foundation collection. I love dark nude or purple lipsticks for Autumn :)x

Yeah sometimes I feel like my foundation could be a better match for my skin tone but it’s so difficult to find a good budget one with the shade that matches me! Such a struggle.
No idea why but you remind me of Hayden Panettiere in that photo! This is a stunning look, I’m absolutely loving the lip colour. Would love to see more posts of looks like this!

Woow I adore this look! It is very autumnal, I’m not one for bright make up or anything, I much prefer the natural look. You look very beautiful and would love to be able to create a look like this myself.
