Over the past two weeks, I realized how much in my life I take for granted. McDonald's. Coffee shops. Places to take Instagram shots at. Even the little things like toilet paper and pasta 😂 I swear as soon as this whole thing is over, I'm buying a plane ticket and going travelling for 6 months. Who's with me?
In all seriousness though, I hope everyone is doing okay all things considered. Remember that my DMs are always open if you need to talk. It will be over! Until then we can sit in our comfies, enjoy slower lifestyle and find happiness in something new every day.

International Women's Day ♀️ when I was younge

International Women's Day ♀️ when I was younger, it was all the men in my family always taught me how important 8th of March was. They always showered every single women, no matter what age, all my aunties, sisters, grandmas, my mum, with flowers, chocolates and appreciation. Don't get me wrong, they always do it on a regular basis (I've got some top men in my family), but 8th of March was always that little bit more special.
This made me feel like an absolutely fabulous woman, even as a little primary school girl. And it equipped me with the strength of an army of men. Just that feeling of appreciation and equality within my family made (and still makes) me feel like I can move mountains.
So while we're fighting to demolish inequality on a global basis, let's not forget to show how good both men and women are to our kids, nephews, nieces, anyone who needs to see it. Let's show them that men can appreciate women and live with them as equals. That no matter what age, girls are incredible and powerful and able to do anything they want. Teach them to speak up and how important their opinions are. At the same time, show all boys how to hear and respect that opinion. And lead by example.

Together, we can raise an army of people who believe in equality.

Shredding for the wedding 👰🤵 I absolutely hate this phrase. Why? Because even though I'm happy with my weight I feel an immense pressure to drop a dress size or two for the one day in my life. As though planning a wedding wasn't stressful enough, there's this expectation that if you want to look good for your wedding, you need to be slimmer than you already are. So when I'm stress eating because I can't choose between different shades of green for my napkins, I'm also supposed to be counting calories of my snacks calculating how much more time on the treadmill I'll have to do. How crazy is that? Why can't we believe that we'll be beautiful brides with the amazing bodies we've got right now? Why is there an image of a "perfect bride" so embedded in our psyche that we can't accept that all brides are perfect? So trust me when I say that your wedding day is yours to slay no matter what dress size you are. And you're going to be the most beautiful bride the world has ever seen. Now go and leave me with my Percy Pigs while I ponder whether mint green would look better than sage when it's being wiped on people's mouths.

March has only just started but my mental health is already better 🙌🏻 I don't function well in winter - I don't like wearing lots of layers, the constant cold gets on my nerves and my motivation leaves as the birds start their journey to the south. I was probably supposed to be a bear, but God changed his mind forgetting to wipe my need for winter hibernation. But all is heading towards brighter times! Bring on all the florals, long evenings and eating ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Winter, it was fun while it lasted (not really), but I think we need to see other people now.

Happy Valentine's Day! I've never thought I'd actually meet someone who could put up with my bat shit crazy mind as well as you do. For my every "Oh my God, what are we going to do?", you always have your "Don't worry, it'll work out". My perfect Instagram husband who never fails to ask "Don't you want one with me?" after we're done shooting my solo photos. Thank you for everything you do. There's no one else I'd rather do this life thing. But let's invest in a good portable tripod we can take everywhere so we can take some better photos of us ❤️
