Easy swaps for more sustainable Christmas

December 25, 2019 in Sustainable living
Sustainable Christmas Two Christmas bags underneath the Christmas tree Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I pull out all the stops and go all out on decorations, to the point where even my relatives start to hate me. But as much as I love all the Christmas tat, this year I’m also trying to make more effort to make this time more

Begginer’s guide to self-tanning

December 4, 2019 in Beauty
self-tanning When it comes to being tanned, I’m definitely a fan (who isn’t?). I’m one of the first people to go out and sunbathe as soon as the weather turns warmer. However, I don’t seem to tan as quickly as I used to do. Plus, with the adult life responsibilities, I barely have time to lay

How to avoid pumpkin waste after Halloween

October 26, 2019 in Lifestyle, Sustainable living
How to reduce pumpkin waste Halloween is coming with its scary outfits and pumpkin carving, but just as it’s approaching so quickly, it’s going to be over in a blink of an eye. The pumpkins and sweets, on the other hand, are here to stay. And as eager as we are to consume our body weight in chocolate skulls and

My staple makeup pieces for Autumn

September 30, 2019 in Beauty
Autumn makeup Ah, my beautiful Autumn… *insert a really poetic quote about Autumn of your own choice* The sound of rain and the smell of wet leaves in the morning is what makes me excited for this time of the year. And of course the incredible outburst of colour outside and on my face. Finally, I’m no longer fighting

Are paperless invitations a way forward?

July 30, 2019 in Lifestyle, Wedding
paperless cards Planning a social event can be extremely stressful, especially since getting everyone together when you’re an adult is a nearly impossible job. As a child, when my birthday was near, I would ask my mum for a load of paper and I’d sit for hours creating my own invitations. Then I’d hand them out myself

Skincare routine for oily skin

July 29, 2019 in Beauty
oily skincare We all dream of that beautiful glowy skin that doesn’t need any makeup to look alive. But the reality is that absolutely no one has perfect skin 24/7. You can have the best skincare routine in the world and you will still get a spot on your face every now and then. That’s how the

Let’s talk about sweat, baby

July 11, 2019 in Beauty
Let's talk about sweat baby Summer is in full swing (for English standards at least) and with the humidity and temperatures rising steadily, so was the humidity under my armpits. All my life I have been trying to combat my sweat problem only to feel like I was fighting a losing battle. I sweat in the summer, I sweat in

Geting married before our wedding day?

May 26, 2019 in Wedding
wedding Planning a wedding is stressful. It’s intensely exciting, but at the same time, it’s kick-you-in-the-crotch-spit-on-your-neck fantastic. Sorry, a Friends reference had to happen. Since we got engaged in January (read a post about it here), planning a wedding has been on my mind non stop. I breathe weddings at the moment. And sure, it’s a

Hello there!

Hello there!

I'm a 25-year-old girl trying to find her feet in this world, mostly by being clumsy, saying things I shouldn't say and eating my body weight in chocolate. Apart from that I tend to ramble about beauty hacks that can save us all time, life tricks for easy university life and most random things you can think of. Welcome to my crib. MORE

Forever looking for forest fairies 🧚🏼 and ev Forever looking for forest fairies 🧚🏼 and even though it looks like it's going to rain for the rest of the year now, I'm glad I can finally put some clothes on without having to deal with boob sweat.

On another note: after 8 months, I'll finally get to hug my family in 3 weeks! It's the longest I've ever gone without seeing them and I can definitely feel that. Video calls are great but in no way do they compare to actually being with the ones you love. So even though I'm absolutely terrified of getting on a plane during a pandemic, I wouldn't be able to last any longer without a mental breakdown.

We'll, partially because even though I love it and I cried when I put it on, I still wanted to come back home and think about it. That's on being an anxiety-driven decision-maker. In all honesty though, if my personality was a dress, that would be it! Is it acceptable to live in a wedding dress for the rest of my life? Because I might just do that.
